KIHEFO promotes local initiated solutions to fight disease, ignorance and poverty in southwestern Uganda
Today was our last full day in Kabale!
I still don’t think it has fully sunk in yet!
We were able to do another HIV outreach and visit some families with rabbits, that KIHEFO has funded and provided to help increase protein and decrease the levels of malnutrition.
The HIV outreach was in Muhanga this time! The group was a little bit smaller than the previous one we had attended, but none the less, everyone was welcoming. The outreach was conducted in a classroom in a school full of children that had to go to another classroom for the time being. It was very nice to see the community of individuals, affected by HIV, come together and strive for better health.
It was also fun to be surrounded by school children laughing and playing. During the HIV outreach and after the children had returned from lunch, we provided deworming pills…
